*NEW!* The Minnesota Library Foundation is excited to announce a new scholarship opportunity for Minnesota library staff!
MLF encourages career development by funding a scholarship for a Minnesota library staff worker to grow professionally through taking college or university courses that would lead to acquiring a degree or certificate in the library field.
The MLF Governing Board establishes the guidelines for this scholarship and selects the recipients. The scholarship amount awarded is up to $1,000.00 per successful applicant.
MLF Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must be employed in a Minnesota library or school library media center.
Applicants must be members of the Minnesota Library Association.
Applicants may attend any of the educational institutions in the state of Minnesota that offer courses in the library field.
Applicants can receive one scholarship per year but may apply for additional scholarships in succeeding years.
First time applicants will receive priority.
MLF Scholarship Application Process:
Complete the Minnesota Library Foundation Scholarship Application.
Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis and reviewed by the Minnesota Library Foundation Board.
Applicants will be notified via email of the Board’s decision about their applications.
If approved, reimbursement will be issued following the event and is contingent on the submission of the reimbursement form and all supporting documentation.
