Ben Trapskin, Chair

Ben is the founder of but previously had a 13 year career in libraries. Most recenlty as the Deputy Director of the Dakota County Library from 2014-2016.

Suzanne Hunt
Suzanneis the Minnesota Library Foundation liaison to the Minnesota Library Association. Currently the adult services librarian for the Victoria branch of the Carver County Library system, she has over 20 years of professional experience as a public librarian. Her projects and accomplishments include reference services, outreach, program development, and web content management. Suzanne has served on the Metropolitan Library Service Agency (MELSA) eResources, Jobs & Small Business Development, and eGovernment teams.  She is committed to finding common ground and fervently believes that libraries are crucial to achieving a level playing field for all of their patrons.
Outside the library, she is an avid stand-up paddle board enthusiast and a volunteer for the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency’s Citizen Lake Monitoring Program.

Susan Larson-Fleming

Susan Larson-Fleming is an archivist currently working at the Hennepin
History Museum. She has also worked in the Creative Activities Building at
the Minnesota State Fair for many years. Susan was on the staff of The
Weavers Journal when it was published in Saint Paul by Karen Searle and
Suzanne Baizerman. Susan’s MA in Library Science is from the University of
Wisconsin, Madison. She completed her written exams for a PhD in Design
History from the University of Minnesota. She also studied Swedish and
Scandinavian literature and art at the University of Minnesota and the
University of Wisconsin. She is one of the founders of Svenska Skolan, a
Swedish language school for children, still operating at the American
